All are welcome for a day of workshops and activities at the Leith Hill Protection Camp, The day includes an opportunity to check out some of the drill sites in the Weald. This is a chance for people who live locally or further afield to find out more about unconventional oil extraction in Surrey and Sussex and to share skills and knowledge about some of the practical means we can employ to protect ourselves and the environment against this assault.
If you are coming by public transport, meet at Dorking station 11am. Lifts will be provided to Leith Hill Protection Camp which is the starting point of the tour. If you are coming by car, meet at Leith Hill Protection Camp. The tour will also include visits to Brockham, Broadford Bridge, Horse Hill and Balcombe.
Bring placards, banners, snacks or just yourselves! There will be mud so bring decent footwear!
Please sign up on Eventbrite (link below) if you are coming; this will aid planning and will help us to arrange lifts for everyone. If you're a driver and can offer a seat that would be really helpful. You can message on the facebook page above or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
RSVP. The event is free but please register to aid planning.
